The house at Brugg 36 looks back on a long history.
Today, the doors to two apartments open on the top floor – with sweeping views over Bezau and the surrounding countryside.
Space for guests has been created here: quietly situated, secluded and intended as a place to arrive.
Designed and managed by a designer and an interior architect, the apartments combine historical substance with a modern approach to living and hospitality.
The house has a communal garden that extends your stay outside.
THE "NEW POST OFFICE BUILDING"
Bezau, 1908
Originally, the Gasthof Lamm, built in 1850, stood at Brugg 36 in Bezau and was also one of the Natter family’s post offices.
In 1908, Franz Josef Natter had the so-called “Dependance Post” built – a striking stone building with stucco-decorated ceilings and a light-flooded staircase.
Over the decades, the building was used for a variety of purposes: as a post office, law firm, store and residential building. In the 1970s, the mezzanine floor was redesigned and is now home to an architectural firm.

DESIGN IN THE PRESENT
Personally designed, personally managed
The house is part of our family history, and it is a pleasure for us to design the apartments ourselves and receive guests here.
The focus was on the experience of the rooms: proportions that are pleasant, processes that work naturally and materials that convey warmth.
The attention to detail arises from the attempt to think the stay ahead.
INTERIOR DESIGN
A contemporary signature
In the apartments, historical elements are combined with minimalist fixtures to create a harmonious whole.
What is old remains visible. The new additions are designed to make living pleasant – from the spacious washbasin and precisely positioned mirrors to the integrated storage space that creates order.
The light is chosen to create different moods. This creates a living atmosphere that appears natural and quickly feels familiar.
The Herlinde vacation apartment has been featured in international design publications, including “High On Bathroom Design” and “High On Kitchen Design”.

EVERYDAY LIFE & THINGS
Kitchen, objects and habits
Much of what characterizes the stay is evident in daily use.
The kitchen is equipped in such a way that you enjoy cooking – with good tools, clear processes and sufficient space. Functional appliances and a beautifully laid table are a matter of course here.
Books, objects and art accompany the room – as part of the living space, not as decoration.
